**Company Background:** We are a vibrant, inclusive LGBTQ+ community small business specializing in adult media and toys. Based in San Francisco, we operate a thriving eCommerce platform, and maintaining accurate financial records is critical to our success.

**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to assist in maintaining our financial records remotely. While the owner currently manages much of the bookkeeping, additional support is needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include monthly reconciliations, timely reminders about important tax due dates, and assistance with sales tax filings via QuickBooks Online. Additionally, future projects include integrating our 401K plan and transitioning our health insurance management into QuickBooks Online, tasks for which expertise and guidance will be necessary.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assist with monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts
* Monitor important tax deadlines and manage sales tax filings via QuickBooks Online
* Support future integration of our 401K plan into QuickBooks Online
* Facilitate the transition of our health insurance management into QuickBooks Online
* Provide regular financial reporting

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

* Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
* Experience with sales tax filings
* Familiarity with integrating retirement plans and health insurance within bookkeeping systems
* Strong proficiency with Google Drive and Google Docs
* Previous bookkeeping or relevant financial management experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Prior experience working with eCommerce or retail businesses
* Understanding of LGBTQ+ community needs and sensitivities

**Job Duration:** Ongoing, long-term contract with an initial trial period

**Compensation:** Hourly contract preferred; also open to a project-based arrangement for the initial month.

**Work Environment:** Fully remote position; flexible schedule but must align periodically with Pacific Time (PST/PDT) for meetings and consultations.

**Preferred Applicant Location:** Candidates based in the U.S. are preferred, though we welcome qualified applicants from other regions.
