Job Description

Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and procedural skills following an ACGME-approved fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology. This role will primarily involve outpatient clinical care, inpatient coverage, and consultation services at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. Key responsibilities include:

• Approximately 7 half-day outpatient clinical sessions per week.
• One half-day procedure session per week.
• Inpatient and emergency room consultation coverage, approximately one in > 4 week.
• Occasional outpatient clinic coverage at Texas Children’s Specialty Care locations in Sugar Land or Cy-Fair Faculty members at the West Campus are also actively involved in teaching students, residents, and fellows, as well as participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research, including clinical trials.

Minimum Qualifications

• Eligible for or active American Board of Pediatrics certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Eligibility for licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
• U.S. Citizenship or an approved work visa.
• Open at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics.
