Job Description

Job Title : IBM WebSphere & DB2 Administrator

Location : Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and manage IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments
Deploy and monitor enterprise Java applications on WebSphere
Perform tuning and optimization of WebSphere performance and troubleshooting issues
Install, configure, and manage IBM DB2 databases including backup, recovery, and high availability
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning
Maintain system security and perform patching and upgrades for both WebSphere and DB2
Work with development and operations teams to support deployment, testing, and production environments
Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Support disaster recovery planning and execution
Provide 24x7 on-call support as required

Qualifications:

Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server administration
Experience with IBM DB2 database administration
Strong experience with scripting (Shell, Python, or Jython)
Experience in J2EE deployments, JDBC configurations, and SSL/TLS
Experience with DB2 tools (Data Studio, Control Center, db2cli, etc.)
Proficiency in troubleshooting application server and database issues
Knowledge of high availability configurations and load balancing
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., IBM Tivoli, AppDynamics, or similar)
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Experience with WebSphere ND, Liberty Profile, or WAS 9.0+
Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud)
Experience in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Linux/Unix system administration
Federal Experience is a plus.
Required Security clearance.
