My firm is currently recruiting for a Corporate Controller role for a publicly traded green and sustainable company based in the Bradenton, FL area. This entrepreneurial company is looking for an accounting professional who wants a fast-paced/challenging environment . Internally, this role will have high visibility internally and report directly to senior leadership. The company is on track for 300 percent growth in the next 12-18 months.
 
Primary Job Responsibilities:  

• Oversee and ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, aligning financial goals with company objectives. 
• P repare management reports and provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. 
• Coordinate and manage audits, ensuring compliance with SOX, SEC, and other regulatory requirements. 
• Oversee accounting related to M&A activity 
• Establish and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency. 
• Oversee and ensure compliance with sales tax, state, and federal tax filings. 
• Implement cost control measures to improve financial performance and efficiency. 

  Job Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA preferred 
• 10+ years of public accounting and related corporate experience
• Must have strong knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting skills and financial reporting experience 
• Knowledge of federal state and local tax compliance
• Proficiency in financial software/ERP systems and implementations
