Empress by Boon,  located in the heart of Chinatown is looking for a fine dining host with experience in concierge. The position is Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:30PM - 9:30PM.

Job Summary:We are seeking warm, professional, and highly organized Hosts to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a Host, you will create a welcoming and memorable first impression while managing reservations, seating, and the overall flow of the dining experience. Your role is essential in setting the tone for exceptional hospitality.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a polished, friendly first impression.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using the restaurant’s booking system.
• Organize and maintain an accurate waitlist while communicating wait times to guests.
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth seating process.
• Assist with special requests, VIP accommodations, and guest inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Uphold all restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations.
• are highly organized;

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

Education and Experience:

• High School GED required.
• Prior experience as a Host or in a similar front-of-house leadership role preferred.
• Proficiency in reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable, PLEASE ADD).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A warm, professional, and polished demeanor with a passion for hospitality.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food handler certification is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
