Our company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee government construction projects. This role involves managing various aspects of construction projects, from planning and scheduling to budgeting and risk management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all aspects of commercial construction, with a particular focus on government projects. This position requires a strong leader with excellent decision-making skills, strategic planning abilities, and a proven track record in team leadership and quality control.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Review and understand all project contracts, drawings, and specifications.
3. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
4. Effectively manage risks, including the identification and analysis of potential risks and the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
5. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
6. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
7. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
8. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
9. Foster a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to.
10. Lead project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, specifically with government projects.
3. Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
4. Strong leadership skills with a history of leading successful project teams.
5. Excellent decision-making abilities and strategic planning skills.
6. Proficient in construction project management software.
7. Exceptional knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
8. Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM) is a plus.
